About the project
Quick Mill TIO is a machine that provide to coffee enthusiasts a complete solution for preparing their perfect cup. TIO means "two in one", in fact this machine features a connection with Eureka Mignon coffee grinder to synchronize brewing parameters.
I was engaged for in the development of the design and the user interface of this product. I designed TIO as a compact professional machine, that highlights the quality of materials and craftsmanship, delivering a sense of strength and power. The design is robust, characterized by bold lines, with particular emphasis on the tools that influence coffee quality: the purge button and the brewing pressure lever are prominently positioned. Thanks to the Quick Mill's expertise in steel craftsmanship, we were able to create a design that stands out in the E61 group machine market.
User interaction is handled through an encoder, this way the display is kept protected while allowing quick access to the machine’s main features. The keyboard on the display follows an oval layout, maintaining consistency with the rotational gesture of the knob. During rotation, different options are progressively highlighted, and the selected recipe is displayed prominently at the center.
When user grinds with Eureka Mignon TIO, the grinding parameters are sent to the machine, which automatically adjusts its settings to deliver coffee optimized for the specific grind. In the center of the display, the recipe is automatically set to the one sent by the grinder.
