About the project
Rancilio Connect is a web app that provides a flexible dashboard for the analysis of data provided by the coffee machines of the brands Egro and Rancilio.
The request for this project was the full development of a working mock-up of this web app for the fair Host 2019, to show the range of functionality provided to visitors.
I took care of this project from the conceive of the services with the customer, organizing a series of workshops to define all the contents and the steps for the development. Once the content of the webapp was defined, I designerd the user experience and graphical interface. At same time I managed and source and the developers that build the demo for the fair, with respect of steps and deadlines.
The application is designed to be flexible and user-friendly and cater to the diverse needs of those working with both traditional and automatic coffee machines. For example, a barista can enhance coffee quality, roaster can monitor sales, a service partner can quickly identify technical issues with machines in real-time, and much more.
The services provided by the app are organized into blocks, allowing users to customize their own app and the company to create different packages of analytical tools. The main page is designed as a mosaic of widgets: users can compose their dashboards to have the most important information ready and make personalized comparisons.
In-deep analyses are done by inspecting the machines, or via topic, with a selection of statistics related to products, revenue, quality of the product, and the health of machines.
